Keep Troy Safe
Extra Eyes Camera Registry Program
Troy is one of the safest cities in America, and is the safest of its size in Michigan. Please consider partnering with the Troy Police Department to keep Troy safe! The Extra Eyes Camera Registry Program will help the Police Department locate video evidence, so that more criminals can be apprehended and successfully prosecuted. The Police Department is asking residents and businesses with exterior surveillance cameras on their property to register their cameras. If an incident occurs near your business or residence, the Police Department may contact you and ask you to review for your surveillance video for possible evidence. Participation in this program is completely voluntary.
Video surveillance is one of the best methods for apprehending criminals and convicting suspects. Several significant local incidents have been resolved and successfully prosecuted because of video evidence.
