Troy City Council established the twelve-member Global Troy Advisory Committee as an advisory body by resolution on April 4, 2016. The Global Troy Advisory Committee, in conjunction with City Council and City Administration, desires to increase the City of Troy's cultural competence through cultural knowledge, awareness and sensitivity, and will assist with the promotion of cultural diversity and inclusion and enhancing community connections. Members include one City Council member, eleven members appointed by the Mayor with City Council approval, and two nonvoting Student Representatives. All members, with the exception of the City Council member and Student Representatives, serve a three-year term.
The Global Troy Advisory Committee holds a Regular meeting on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 PM in the Lower Level Conference Room.
