The City Council approved the revised City of Troy Incentive Plan for Volunteer Firefighters and established the City of Troy Volunteer Firefighter Incentive Plan Board on April 4, 2016. The Volunteer Firefighter Incentive Plan Board serves as general administration, management and responsibility for the proper operation of the Trust, consistent with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The Volunteer Firefighter Incentive Plan Board consists of seven members including the City Manager, the City Financial Services Director, two active volunteer firefighters and one retiree representative (appointed by the Volunteer Incentive Committee), one member of the Troy City Council (appointed by City Council), and one citizen of the City of Troy (appointed by the Mayor). Each member serves a three-year term.
